Natural Hair Gets Fly at Brooklyn Hair Show
Natural hair stylists and models were in rare form at the natural hair show held during the 39th annual International African Arts Festival www.iaafestival.org in Brooklyn, NY on Sunday July 4th 2010
The theme of the hair show was 'Back to Eden.' 'Getting back to your natural, original, God-given, divine beauty that you were born with, that nobody can take from you,' said Nekhena Evans of New Bein' Enterprises www.newbein.com, the hair show's producer and hostess. 'The spirit of 'Back to Eden' is just to get back to your beautiful God self. To understand that the way you were made is divine and beautiful.'

The hair show kicked off with presentations by two natural hair accessory companies. Loc Soc www.soclocsoc.com makes a creative and versatile cloth that can be used to cover and style your hair. Wrap-A-Loc www.wrapaloc.com makes a very unique styling tool that creates curls, spirals, twists and waves in your hair.
It was a beautiful, sunny day and the crowd seemed to enjoy every bit of the show.
